Yes, it is true: I actually do not take religion(s) seriously! Does that mean I do not tolerate other people’s faith? No, it does not! I do not only tolerate, I even accept that people believe that a red-cloaked, white-bearded man brings presents on 24th December (remember that I live in Germany, these events happen on the eve of 24th, not the morning of 25th here), that Ciconia ciconia is responsible for bringing babies to new parents, that an animal belonging to the genus Lepus lays eggs and paints them, that a diluted solution of seawater from the Baltic Sea, that an aspirin has been thrown into, is able to cure a headache, or that an envious, brutal god requires his own son (who is actually him in fact) to be gored, so that the people he created sinful in the first place can live without being bothered by aforementioned sin. I accept that, but you cannot really expect me to respect it, can you? HOWEVER (and that is a really large HOWEVER) will I defend your right to have all those superstitions? By all means: Yes! And what is more: I shall defend your right to utter them freely – as long as they do not harm other people!
When people are killed because they choose to have no religion at all and Sharia condemns apostasy, when girls are stoned to death because they have been raped and thus have had extramarital intercourse, whenever people are suppressed because their gender, the colour of their skin, their origin, their sexuality or their beliefs do not agree to the convictions of others, I shall not keep my mouth shut!
And let us be honest: Christianity and Islam threaten me with eternal torture just because I chose not to believe in YHWH or Allah, so a little fun at the expense of those “deities”  should not matter that much, should it?

I was born in Germany and I live here still so this website ought to be in German, right? The reason it is not, is due to the fact that I see myself primarily as human being with a cultural background originating in Europe. I decided to emphasize this be using English, albeit it is not my native language and I am prone to making mistakes.

Questions & Answers

Here are some first reactions concerning my website. I consider the following questions to be interesting enough that they deserve to be addressed here:

Why is this page written in English?

You are mocking my faith – THAT is what you call tolerance?

Well, maybe when I find the time to do so I shall add some private stuff. In the meantime I think that there are more important matters than that.

Your website is boring – I want to read more about you and see photos!

This website is solely run on a private, non-profit basis and has no commercial purposes at all
