At Roger Ascham Primary School, we believe that sparking a love for the arts starts from the very beginning of a child's educational journey. This week, our Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 classes were treated to a spectacular performance by the renowned Toscana Strings, who transformed our hall into a vibrant, rhythmic jungle.

The ensemble performed a musical adaptation of the beloved Julia Donaldson classic, Monkey Puzzle. As the story unfolded, the children were introduced to the unique voices of the string family. From the high, chirping notes of the violins to the deep, resonant rumble of the double bass, our children were mesmerised by how the viola and cello helped tell the tale of a little monkey searching for his mum.
