Uniform & Attendance Guidelines
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Please make sure that your child is in school on time each day. It not only helps them to feel safe and settled but also gives grown ups the chance to pass on any important information before the school day starts.
Lateness really counts:
If you are |
your child will lose |
5 minutes late each day, |
3 days of learning each year. |
10 minutes late each day, |
6 ½ days of learning each year. |
15 minutes late each day, |
10 days of learning each year, that’s 2 weeks! |
20 minutes late each day, |
13 days of learning each year. |
30 minutes late each day, |
19 days of learning each year. |
Good attendance is an essential part of your child’s education and social development. Children who fall behind in Reception are then twice as likely to be behind where they should be by the end of year 6.
Absence in term time: requests for term-time absence will be considered by the Headteacher in exceptional circumstances.
