A day of discovery at the Science Museum

Year 3 pupils explore the invisible world of forces

Last week, our Year 3 classes swapped their desks for the interactive galleries of the Science Museum in London. The trip was designed to bring their classroom learning to life, giving the children a hands-on encounter with the physical laws that govern our world.

The highlight of the day was a bespoke workshop focused entirely on forces. Through a series of engaging experiments and live demonstrations, the pupils investigated how pushes and pulls can change the speed, direction, and shape of objects.

We are incredibly proud of how our Year 3 pupils conducted themselves throughout the journey and during their time at the museum. Staff members and museum educators alike commented on the curiosity and politeness shown by the children of Roger Ascham Primary School.
