A spectacular sporting achievement for Roger Ascham Primary School

Our pupils shine at the TCS London Minimarathon

On Saturday 25 April 2026, a sea of bright smiles and determined faces filled the historic streets of Westminster as the children of Roger Ascham Primary School took part in the prestigious TCS London Minimarathon. Racing across the final 2.6 kilometres of the official London Marathon course, our young athletes experienced the unforgettable thrill of crossing the iconic finish line at Horse Guards Parade.

The atmosphere was absolutely electric, filled with the roaring cheers of supportive families, staff, and spectators who had gathered to witness the UK’s biggest youth running event. Every single one of our participating pupils demonstrated outstanding stamina, sportsmanship, and resilience, perfectly embodying the core values of Roger Ascham Primary School.

The event provided a wonderful platform for our children to celebrate physical health, community spirit, and personal achievement. Upon crossing the finish line, each child was proudly presented with a coveted finisher's medal, a well-deserved token of their hard work and dedication over weeks of preparation.

We are immensely proud of all our pupils who took part in this year's event. Their enthusiasm and exceptional behaviour made them a true credit to Roger Ascham Primary School. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the parents, carers, and staff members who gave up their Saturday morning to support, supervise, and cheer on our incredible young runners.
