Zones of Regulation Launch

Yesterday, a number of parents attended a drop-in session around the work we are doing with the children on the Zones of Regulation.
This week, all of our children have explored what feelings are and how to recognise them in themselves, others and characters in stories. Next week, our theme across the school will look at tools (strategies) to support us to regulate our feelings and emotions safely. Each class will create a small Calm Corner and Check in Zone with resources they have asked school to buy such as cushions, bean bags and fidget toys for times when children need a short break to help them to regulate or seek support.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our parent drop-in yesterday. There was a lovely, supportive atmosphere with everyone being so open to our new approach to wellbeing, good mental health and personal development.
