Palaeontologists in training: Year 3's Natural History adventure

Dino Dig Workshop success, T-Rex encounters, and a memorable first journey on the London Underground

Roger Ascham's year 3 had a fantastic trip to the Natural History Museum, bringing our Rocks and Fossils science topic to life! The highlight was the Dino Dig Workshop, where the children acted as palaeontologists, carefully uncovering and identifying different dinosaur skulls. We explored the Dinosaur Gallery, seeing amazing specimens like the T-Rex. It was also inspiring to see first-hand some of the amazing discoveries made by pioneering palaeontologist Mary Anning, who we had been learning about in class.

The trip was a great success, offering hands-on learning and a memorable first experience navigating the London Underground as a year group.
