Roger Ascham's Safer Internet Week

Monday 10th February - Friday 14th February 2020

Check on your class pages to see work you and the other classes have produced this week.

Each year group will have a different theme to learn about keeping safe online.

All children will be shown how to report a problem through the school website. We will also show the junior children how to check privacy settings on apps they use.

Reception - Pop ups and in app purchasing

Year 1 - Being responsible gamers (keeping personal information safe online)

Year 2 - We are online behaviour experts (keeping personal information safe online and permission)

Year 3 - Being aware of our digital footprint

Year 4 - Being aware that our online content lasts forever

Year 5 - Being responsible for our online actions (understanding the impact of online behaviour)

Year 6 - Solving online safety problems (resolving unfamiliar situations)

Always be careful when you are using the internet. It can help you to keep in touch with your friends and help your education – but it can also cause harm – to you and to others.

Remember help is always available at school if you are having any problems online.

Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

Tips for staying safe online:

· Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it.

· Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
