Hands On Hand Out

Dear Parents/ Carers,

This year we are asking children/ families to donate items for North London’s homeless men. Your donations will fill shoeboxes that will then be distributed by the charity Hands On; Hand Out.

 

Each child/ family will be asked to pledge to bring certain items so their class can fill between 5 and 10 boxes. Please keep your eyes and ears open for information about your requested contribution.

In class, the children will be learning more about what ‘homelessness’ means, looks and feels like; considering the difference between wants, rights and needs. Undoubtedly, 2020 will be proving more difficult than ever for people trapped in the cycle of homelessness and with our small contributions we hope to offer a little light in the darkness.
